Home Farm, Colton, has been farmed by the Kay family since 1948. Their friendly farm shop sells their very own beef, plus they also run a campsite. If you're looking for something a bit different why not spend the night 'glamping' in their new Shepherds Hut?

A community day school for children between the ages of four and eleven, administered by North Yorkshire County Council in the pretty village of Appleton Roebuck, a village adjacent to Bolton Percy.
The school building is a combination of the original village school and more recent extensions. At the heart of the school is the hall, which regularly hosts assemblies and gatherings as well as music lessons, and the school also has a modern sports hall, located across the playground adjacent to the sports field.

Bolton Percy has an active Parish Council which also covers the nearby villages of Colton and Steeton.
