What's On

Forthcoming events for 2017

Saturday 25th November, 1pm to 4pm:   Bolton Percy Christmas Market

The Christmas Market will be held on Saturday 25th November between 1 and 4pm. Once again it will be held in All Saints' Church, where we will also be celebrating the repairs to the roof which have recently been completed. Refreshments will be served across the road in the Parish Rooms.

There will be lots of stalls, many new for 2017, showcasing locally-produced home and garden decorations, tasty chocolates, cheese and chutneys, beautiful jewellery plus gifts and cards for all the family. The Christmas Market will once again incorporate Anthea's Christmas Bazaar, a huge stall offering great value Christmas gifts, wrapping materials and other exciting bargains. You'll also be able to treat yourself to the wide range of home baking that will be on offer and try your luck on the tombolas.

We are also pleased to announce that Santa will be making an appearance again! He'll be there between 2pm and 3pm, to avoid disappointment please be sure to buy your Santa tickets early, they're available from Ruth Rawson, Anne Musgrave, The Crown Inn & D’Oyly’s Tearoom or by contacting the Friends of All Saints on friends.asbp@gmail.com or 07742 965739.

Sunday 10th December,  10.30am  Nativity Service

This shorter service is for all ages but is an informal lay-led service to include a simple nativity.  The village hand bell ringers hope to perform a couple of Christmas pieces.   Do join us for a traditional festive service.

Sunday 17th December,  6.30pm  Carol Service

Our church path is lit with candles to provide a magical Christmas atmosphere to this traditional service of 9 lessons with carols.  The village hand bell ringers will perform and the village choir will perform.  Afterwards in the Parish Rooms, a buffet will be served for a nominal donation.  This is a wonderful way to finish the evening, chatting informally among friends.

Tuesday 19th December,  8.30pm  Carols at The Crown

The annual gathering at the pub of villagers and local people is such friendly fun as the fires burn, the beer drunk and carols sung.  All are welcome, the more the merrier!

Sunday 14th January,   10.30am    Plough Sunday service

This is a wonderful traditional service still celebrated in our countryside village setting where our local farmers bring a horse drawn plough and a modern plough to church.  The service focuses on the farming year ahead.

Why not have a look and see how our past fundraising events have got on?
